Examination Policy at Sanmati

Effective 2026-27

Our examination policy is framed in alignment with CBSE bye-laws and NEP 2020 โ€” designed to nurture confident learners through fair, transparent and developmentally appropriate assessment.

Periodic Assessment

Two formative + two summative cycles per academic year, aligned with CBSE CCE guidelines.

Attendance Rule

Minimum 75% attendance is mandatory to appear for term-end and board examinations.

Grading Scheme

Class Iโ€“V: descriptive grades. VIโ€“X: 9-point grade scale (A1โ€“E2). XIโ€“XII: marks + grade as per CBSE.

Re-evaluation

Verification of marks and answer-script review is available within 7 working days of result declaration.

Malpractice

Strict zero-tolerance policy โ€” UFM cases are referred to the disciplinary committee.

Special Needs

Concessions and assistive aids are provided for CWSN as per CBSE bye-laws.

Promotion Criteria

Students must secure passing grade in each subject and overall 33% aggregate to be promoted.

Result Sharing

Report cards are shared via the parent portal and Open House meetings each term.
